El Clima/The Weather

In English when we talk about the weather, we say "It's hot" or "It's cold..."; in Spanish when we talk about the weather, we say "Hace calor" o "Hace frío". These two Spanish phrases literally translate to "does heat" and "does cold", respectively. Apparently, Spanish speakers point to a higher truth regarding the weather or hold something or someone responsible for it...

Hoping/Esperando

From English to Spanish, the word "hope" translates to "esperanza". When this Spanish noun is verbafied it becomes "esperando" (present progressive) which directly translates to "waiting"...!!

I don't think it's a coincidence to find hoping and waiting linked in language!
